Summer School

Part of my training as a teacher is to teach a summer school class. I was lucky enough to get placed at an awesome school teaching Algebra 1!!! I LOVE math <3

The school I am teaching at is called the Urban Assembly for Applied Math and Science. The school is located in the South Bronx and is probably one of the coolest looking schools I have ever seen.

I could only find those small pictures online but you get the idea. It’s been called the lego building and I find that so exciting! I visited the school last week and will be returning tomorrow to meet with my summer school adviser who will be helping me teach this summer. Although the work we have been doing has been exhausting and incredibly challenging I am optimistic that will all the wonderful resources TFA has for us I will eventually get the hang of things and become an awesome teacher!!!
