Spent new years at the full moon party at haad rin beach on koh phangan island. It was a good time though the beach was a mess of garbage at the end of the night.

Today we went to the floating village which as it sounds, is an entire village built on a lake. Not next to a lake, the houses are on stilts in the lake. Amazing to see. During high tide the water reaches the to of the stilts.

We also finished up our tour around the different temples near Angkor Wat. Todays temples were a bit more worn down but still a beautiful sight

Cambodia the song

29 Dec

This song has nothing to do with me being in Cambodia or Cambodia in general but I have been wanting to listen to it since I’ve been in Cambodia only because of its title and because I’ve had it in my list of music for the last 5 years.

I recently switched my blog from hosting it on WordPress to hosting it on my own elsewhere. I never got around to setting up a link between the new location and the WordPress app on my phone so my posting had been limited to posting from the browser on my phone which sucks. Posts should be more frequent.

I’ve been in cambodia Siem Reap for the post couple days and its been wonderful. The weather here is hot and amazing. The people are very nice, the town is quaint and the food is cheap and delicious. I have also visited the most amazing temples I have ever seen.

Iguanas

10 Dec

Today I went to El Parque de las Iguanas aka The Park of the Iguanas. This park is located in the center of Guayaquil and as it’s name states it is famous for being inhabited by many many iguanas. I recommend everyone that comes to Ecuador to check out this historic park. Definitely one of my favorites, but probably more so because it reminds me of when I was a kid.

I wasn't brave enough to hang out with an iguana on my chest like this dude

This is where I went to high school through junior year, colegio americano de  guayaquil AKA The American School of Guayaquil. The last picture is a poorly take picture of a mango tree. You can’t really tell, but the tree if filled with delicious mangos. When I was in school I would take all the mangos off the tree my knocking them down with rocks and devour them on the bus ride home. I do miss the amounts of fruit there was always around for the taking.

Oh Ecuador

7 Dec

Oh Ecuador, Y U so HOT?

I don’t sweat much but when I’m here I covered constantly in a thin layer of sweat. But I can’t complain, I am a tropical creature. Although this heat has me quite lethargic especially after the huge meals my family serves me three times a day. I am pretty sure they are either trying to fatten me up or are just showing their affection through copious amounts of food.
